Coffee contains caffeine which is part of the xanthine théobromure which is present in tea and cocoa. Caffeine stimulates the nervous system, dilates the bronchi and vessels, speeds up the heart rytme. It has a diuretic effect and delaying the brain and muscle fatigue. Coffee promotes the intellectual effort and facilitates digestion.

Tolerance to caffeine dependent individuals. People accustomed to a high intake of caffeine, may have symptoms after a period of abstinence. Épprouvés symptoms, headaches, irritability, symptoms disparraîssent upon absorption of caffeine. People not used to drink coffee are more sensitive to caffeine.

Other substances containing caffeine (tea, cocoa, soft drinks (cola) and some diuretic drugs, and several analgesic drugs against the common cold). The coffee is rich in vitamins P. P essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system. Sleep quality is affected during the first 4 hours after drinking coffee.

The reasonable and moderate dose is 3 to 4 cups per day. For pregnant women and breastfeeding is strongly recommended that moderate intake of caffeine.
